Macgregor Europe offer their customers a fully outsourced logistics package:
- receipt of stock
- stock control
- fulfilment
- order picking & packing
- delivery of stock to their customers
Customers can keep track of their stock and orders in real time via remote access. All stock is controlled by radio frequency bar scanning the inventory and order picking accuracies are 99.6%. The system also accepts orders and manifests electronically, eliminating manual inputting.

These systems enable extremely competitive pricing not only due to the WMS but due to the shared user facilities that we offer. Our customers demand the highest service levels at the most competitive prices and we focus on maximising our efficiencies. It also helps that as many of our customers are retail related so we have large volumes going into supermarkets depots and high street chains enabling competitive shared user transport. We are also highly efficient at managing smaller accounts as well as larger contracts.

History
Macgregor Europe was started in 1994 by Peter Macgregor as a ‘one man and a van’ operation when he had the opportunity to support the frenetic requirements of a local automotive component manufacturer. It very quickly became apparent that there was an opportunity for a company with a ‘can do attitude’ to obtain business from local automotive customers whose distribution requirements were critical and crisis led to say the least.
Within 18 months the fleet had grown to 10 vehicles containing vans and 7.5t. The nature of the automotive industry meant that the company was ‘only as good as the last job’ and this highly demanding environment instilled a culture based on the highest possible customer service levels. This is a culture that the company still has to this day.
The company has now developed and specialise in warehouse management, fulfilment and distribution for the retail, packaging, automotive and aerospace sectors. Using bar scanning and EDI technology we are able to offer our customers a high specification service managing their stock from receipt to final dispatch incorporating all the added value service that our customers require to support their customers without ever having to handle the stock themselves.
